Frequently asked questions
Which printer do I need?
Any printer your phone, tablet or computer can already print to: 58 mm or 80 mm thermal receipt printers, or a normal office printer. Bills and KOTs are formatted for both.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Imperium Kitchen runs in the browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge) on any phone, tablet or laptop. Add it to your home screen for an app-like icon.
How do waiters and chefs log in?
You create a login for each person from the Staff page. Each role only sees its own screens: waiters see tables and orders, chefs see the kitchen display.
What happens when my plan ends?
We remind you before it ends. After the end date, logins pause until the renewal is recorded; your data stays safe and everything is back as soon as you renew.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade any time and the new features switch on immediately.
Is Imperium Kitchen suitable for cafés, hotels and bars?
Yes. It suits dine-in restaurants, hotel restaurants, cafés, bars and family restaurants of any size: set up as many floors and tables as you have, and choose the plan that matches your number of staff.
What is a KOT and how does it work here?
A KOT (kitchen order ticket) tells the kitchen what to cook. When a waiter sends an order from their phone, it appears instantly on the kitchen display, and you can also print it on a kitchen printer.
Which payment methods can I record?
Cash, UPI and card. The bill shows tax and service charge at the rates you set, and you can print or reprint it any time.
Is my data safe?
Each business's data is kept completely separate, and every login is checked on our servers. Only your own staff can see your orders and sales.
